REACHING PEOPLE | CHANGING LIVES

C O R E V A L U E S

WE ARE Biblical

We value the Bible as God's inspired Word. Therefore, we will equip disciples through the teaching of His word.  The preaching and teaching of the Word of God moves the hearts and lives of people to turn from sin to Jesus Christ. We proclaim a gospel that has the power to reform our culture.  However, we recognize the fact that it is impossible to preach a gospel that is completely devoid of cultural influence.  Instead, we seek to communicate in ways that are relevant, applicable, and transformational within the context that we live in. (Acts 2:42, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

WE ARE Worshipful

We value authentic worship, both personally and corporately.  We believe that worship is our response to God.  We belong to Christ and He deserves our worship.  Therefore, we must practice a life of worship that invites the presence of Jesus into our lives.  Worship is more about what we do, than what we say. (Romans 12:1-2)

WE ARE Transformational

We value the redemptive power of the gospel to transform our individual lives, as well as our entire culture. Our conviction is that Jesus Christ is reconciling all things to himself (Colossians 1:19-20). This means that every part of our lives and everything in this world should be brought into contact with Christ’s restoring grace.

WE ARE Relational

We value respect and integrity in authentic relationships.  Jesus said that the world will know that we are his disciples by our love for one another.  We believe the church should be a safe place where people can be honest, share their challenges, wrestle with truth, and look for help in a time of need. (John 13:35)

WE ARE Generational

We value every generation and believe that we are designed to work together for the fulfillment of the Kingdom of God.  Together, we are called by God to love and serve our city and to also love and serve the local church with the gifts that we have been given.  We believe that we have the biblical responsibility to honor the Lord with our time, talent, and treasures. (Matthew 28:16-20, Nehemiah 3:1-32, Romans 12:3-8)
